About Julie
I’ve worked in technology for more than 25 years. [Yes, I got a degree in computer science in 1985.] Marketing played a vital role in my work for large consulting firms, successful software companies and small high-tech companies. After a few years with just the “geeky” part of computers, I started focusing on the living beings using them and never looked back. My master’s degree is in human factors engineering, a field that helps ensure that technology is people-friendly.
In my life’s work I spend much time helping other living creatures, as well. In 2008, I moved to North Carolina, shedding the corporate lifestyle of long hours and long commutes, and founded The Grey Muzzle Organization. This non-profit improves the lives of at-risk senior dogs by providing funding and resources to animal shelters, rescue organizations, sanctuaries, and other groups nationwide.
My experience of running my own small businesses, managing fundraising campaigns for Grey Muzzle and working with holistic professionals, gives me a big-picture yet down-to-earth view of marketing. I do work that is fulfilling and derive much satisfaction in helping positive, energetic individuals like you.
